The 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift – First Drive and Review
INTERIORS AND FEATURES
There are minimal changes in the interiors as well. The car gets some new seat fabrics and some silver accents, but that’s just about it.The Head and legroom remain the same , and the car continues to feel a bit cramped in the rear.Since the changes are minimal,Most people wont be able to tell any difference. Fortunately though ,the new swift would be getting some extra features over the old generation one .
The 2015 Swift get electrically retractable ORVM’s , 60:40 split seats and adjustable headrests from the mid level trims.ABS is provided in the mid VDi diesel trim , but strangely enough it isn’t provided on the mid petrol variant(VXi). Airbag’s aren’t provided in either one of the variants.Though they seem to be one of the main reason why the car fared so miserably in its International Crash test.
Fortunately the top end trims provide all the safety features including ABS and Airbag,Reverse parking sensor, Remote central locking , push button start , keyless entry and Audio Player with Bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted controls. The Mid level trims also gets Audio player but Bluetooth connectivity and mounted controls are missing.
The Lower L and L+ variant are as expected short on the feature front. The L+ variant which was newly introduced in to the swift series , gets remote locking and front power window in addition to the features provided by the L variant.
