Volvo V40 Hatchback To Be Launched In India
According to recent reports , Volvo could launch the V40 hatchback in India by April 2015.The V40 hatch will be based on the V40 cross country ,which was launched in India early 2013.Although the v40 hatchback and the Cross country are built on the same platform , There are strong visual cues that distinguish both the cars . lets check out some more details:
The V40 hatch comes with a new rear design and front bumpers, without the sump guard present on the cross.The absence of the side body cladding and the larger wheels of the cross is pretty noticeable .The interior obviously resembles the cross, but has fewer features so as to keep the car affordable.The boot space has been reduced, however foldable split rear seats have been provided.
Performance and Engine
The V40 hatchback is expected to come in the FWD D3 variant, which is powered by a 2.0 Liter engine producing 152 horses of power and 320 Nm of torque .It also returns decent fuel efficiency figures of 16.8 kmpl
