Having two sub-4 meter SUV’s in its arsenal , Mahindra will have a strong hold in every possible SUV segment in India. The S101 for example , will compete with crossovers like the Fiat Avventura , VW Cross Polo and even the premium hatchbacks , while the new U301 (which replaces the Bolero) will compete with larger cars like the Renault Duster , Tata Sumo , Nissan Terrano and the likes. Updates to their smallest MPV- the Quanto, is also expected to be provided.
On the Interior , The Mahindra S101 will get a dashboard mounted gear lever , and bench seats up front.Other than that not much is evident from the latest spy pictures.Although a completely new interior design should be taken up.
Mechanically , in a first for the manufacturer, Petrol Engines will be provided on this car.Automated manual transmission (AMT) should also make its way in to the list of new features.
