Royal Enfield motorcycles has announced that they will be updating their flagship continental GT line-up with a new colour scheme. The motorcycle was till now only available in Red and Yellow colours , but now a GT black livery has been added. The good news is that no extra cash will be demanded for the new colour, and the Rs 2.13 Lakh (On-road , Delhi) price tag will continue.
The black version fills up the rather huge void that the Continental GT seemed to have. Though both the initial colours were good, we were all dying to see a black one in person. The bike will be made available in all the markets that Royal Enfield has a strong presence in, starting form India.
All the changes are purely cosmetic, and in order to prevent the bike from looking monochrome, the seats are now coloured ‘tan’. Contrasting stitching adds a touch of class to the motorcycle , and the rear yellow coloured Paioli Twin gas charged shock absorbers will continue.
Mechanically, the same 535 cc air cooled mill , that produces 29 bhp of power and 44 Nm of torque has been retained. Yes! this is unarguably low, but the good news is that Royal Enfield is working on 2 new engines –A 410cc single& 750cc twin , for their upcoming scrambler and Himalayan series motorcycles.
Stay tuned for more new and updates!
