Renault has launched the Lodgy MPV in India at prices starting from Rs. 8.19 Lakhs. Based on the Duster platform, the new Lodgy promises great space and adequate comfort, at an affordable price tag. The car is currently being sold in the international market under the Dacia brand name, and will compete with cars like Toyota Innova, Honda Mobilio and Maruti Ertiga here.
The Renault Lodgy comes with a very simple design, and is definitely not the best looking car in the segment. The front houses very prominent chrome grilles, extending on to the large headlamp and DRL arrangement. The tall stance, wide glass area and the long wheelbase( longest in the segment) gives the car a huge profile, and chrome embellishments and 5-spoke alloy wheels can be seen to be provided.
At the rear, more chrome has been provided along with strangely designed tail lamps. If you are not too pleased with the exterior, Renault will be providing 4 accessory packs (chrome, essential, sport and techno) along with 47 categories of accessories.
Though looks may not be the Lodgy’s high point, it surely delivers on what it is intended to do.The interior provides excellent head and legroom, and the car can be ordered in a choice of 7- or 8-seat configuration. Also customers can choose between captain or bench seats for the rear rows, in which captain seats are provided with tray tables while the bench gets integrated center armrest with cup holders. These seats can be folded or completely removed(3rd row).
Features:Driver-seat height adjustability, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, USB, Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, keyless entry, manual AC with roof mounted air-con vents for the rear rows, anti-pinch power windows, power sockets for all three rows, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, impact sensing door lock and engine immobilizer
