One of India’s leading motorcycle manufacturer, TVS has officially confirmed that they will launch two new bikes this year, which includes their revived commuter-Victor and a high performance premium motorcycle.
The updated TVS Victor should come with the 110cc Eco Thrust engine, seen in the Star City+, but with increased performance on offer. The bike will be positioned below the recently launched TVS Phoenix 125 in terms of price.
TVS hasn’t yet revealed the details of their proposed ‘high powered motorcycle’, however it should either be an Apache facelift or the much awaited TVS-BMW k03 streetfighter. Since the former had been seen testing India two months back, we expect the same to be launched here, putting aside the K03 streetfighter for showcase at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
The TVS Apache facelift is expected to get a new 250cc mill similar to the Draken X21 concept showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and should be named the Apache RTR-250. But whether the bike will retain the flair and advanced features of the Draken is yet to be seen.
TVS-BMW’s 300cc streetfighter had been spotted testing in Germany last year. The bike is codenamed as ‘K03’ and its platform will be used in three of the manufacturer’s motorcycles. It is also heard that the bike will be coming to India under the TVS brand name and not BMW.
TVS had showcased its performance scooter ‘Graphite‘ at the auto expo 2014 and is one of the two wheelers that we are looking forward to. It comes with exceptional features such as dual channel dynamic ABS system, engine immobilizer and an electronic key. The scooter is powered by a 150cc four valve SOHC engine mated with an automated manual gearbox with paddle shifts.
Stay tuned for more updates and reviews.
