2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Launched In India, Gets New Equipment.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-class has been launched in India at prices starting from Rs. 48.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). No cosmetic upgrades have been provided and the changes are limited to some added features, which include Telematics multimedia system, the Garmin MAP PILOT navigation, and a reverse camera.
Being Mercedes’s most popular and best selling model in the country, The E-class is one model that the manufacturer puts extra effort on. The additional equipment are sure to help the car stay at the top among the increasing competition. The German manufacturer already has 30,000 units of the E-class on Indian roads and over 13 million units sold globally.
Talking about the changes, The Telematics multimedia system comes with a 20.3 cm display with Garmin map pilot navigation. The system comes with internet capability, radio, Bluetooth, USB ports, SD card slot, CD player etc. The Garmin navigation, along with route guidance has mapping of 7068 cities at street level, 80 cities at residential house level and 3D terrain, building and landmark view of 2.1 million kilometers of road and 579 thousand towns and villages. The last feature added on is a new reverse camera.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan will continue to be offered in choice of 3 engine options, namely the 2.2-litre diesel which produces 201bhp and 500Nm of torque, the 2.0-litre petrol which produces 181bhp and 300Nm of torque and the 3.0-litre diesel which delivers 261bhp and 620Nm of Torque.

- E-Class E200 – Rs. 48.50 lakhs
- E-Class E250 CDI – Rs. 50.70 lakhs
- E-Class E350 CDI – Rs. 59.90 lakhs
