German luxury car-maker Porsche has launched the new Panamera diesel edition priced at Rs 1.04 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new edition comes with extensive list of features including a powerful 250 bhp diesel powertrain.
The Panamera Diesel measures 5,015mm in length, 1,931mm in width, 1,418mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,920mm. It weighs 1,880kg, and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 80 litres. The car is powered by a six-cylinder 2967cc diesel engine that develops 250bhp at 3,800rpm and a maximum torque of 550Nm at 1,750rpm, which is mated to eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. The engine powers the car to 100kmph from standstill in 6.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 244 kmph.
Exterior features include a 19-inch alloy wheels that hold the same design as those found on the Panamera Turbo II, wheel hub covers with a coloured Porsche logo, and bi-xenon head-lamps equipped with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
Moving on to interior, the car features dual Black and Luxor Beige toned part-leather upholstered seats, Porsche crests embossed into all head rests, a sporty steering wheel unit, and door sill guards with ‘Edition’ lettering. The Panamera Diesel Edition also comes with a standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 7-inch touchscreen which allows you to access and control audio, satellite navigation, and telephony functions. Moreover, the car has an intelligent audio system which make more enjoyable is the Bose Surround System which pushs out 585-watts of sound from a 14-speaker setup.
There are some added features which will be available as standard on the Panamera Diesel include Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Park Assist (front and rear) including a rear camera, electric sunroof with slide and tilt function, soft close doors, 4-zone HVAC, and Power steering Plus.
