Bajaj Pulsar 135LS gets new price, wine red colour- mileage, review
Price of the Bajaj Pulsar 135LS has been dropped, increasing pressure on competitors in the 125cc segment.
In what can be seen as a very strategic move from the Indian manufacturer, The Bajaj Pulsar 135LS gets a significant price drop of Rs. 4500. According to Bajaj’s official website, the bike now retails for Rs. 57,494 (ex-showroom Pune) and thus gain the upper hand when comparing with competitors like the Honda CB shine and Hero Glamour. Both the latter belong to the 125cc class.
With the new move Bajaj wants people to move out of the 125cc segment and in to segments which they are more comfortable with. The manufacturer has seen huge success in 150cc and above classes, and has a range of motorcycles including the pulsar 150AS, Avenger 150 and the recently launched V15.
The better attributes of the Pulsar 135LS are not just limited to price. With the bigger displacement engine, customers also get more power and torque- specifically 13.56 PS of power and 11.4 Nm of torque. The pulsar brand has always been associated with performance and not commute, which is an added benefit. Further the bike is provided with front Disc brake as standard. In comparison, the base variant of the Hero Glamour and Honda CB shine only get drum units- selling for Rs. 55,213 and Rs. 57,449 respectively (ex-showroom, Pune)
Bajaj has also added a new cocktail wine red colour scheme on the new bike, which should improve the desirability.
