Eyeing the festive season sales, Hyundai India has launched an automatic variant of their popular i20. It will be available only in the mid Magna petrol trim and is priced at Rs 9.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is quite high comparing most cars in the segment, which may be be due to the bigger 1,368cc mill.
Engine on the Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic is a new 1.4L Dual VTVT Petrol mated to an Automatic transmission. It produces 100 ps of power at 6000 rpm and 13.5 kg.m of Torque at 4000 rpm. This makes it inch closer to the more powerful ‘hot hatch’ range.

While automatic is only currently available in Magna trim, based on demand Hyundai may extend it to premium variants later.
The automatic variant lacks features like ABS, side airbags and touchscreen infotainment.
The car measures 3,985mm in length, 1,734mm in width, 1,505mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,570mm.
