Maruti Suzuki’s Swift twins are responsible for bringing in large number of sales for the manufacturer. With the Swift hatchback ready for an update in 2017 it is only obvious that the Dzire will also receive the same. The new Swift Dzire has already been spotted testing in India.
2017 Maruti Swift dZire Facelift – Interior, Exterior
Exterior: The extensive camouflage indicates that the 2017 Dzire will receive substantial design updates. It will be inspired from the 2017 Swift hatchback, which had been spotted with milder body covers abroad. Some of the noticeable new features at the front include aggressive (new S-Cross facelift inspired) front fascia, larger grille and projector headlamps.
Its sides have been slightly reworked and the rear gets new tailgate, bumper and redesigned taillamps.
Interior: Though cabin pictures of the Swift Dzire isn’t available yet , its hatchback version gets new dashboard, sporty seats, dual pod instrument cluster with larger MID, improved leg and headroom, and overall better features.
2017 Maruti Swift Dzire Facelift- Engine and Transmission
Powering the car’s petrol variant will be the same 1.2-litre K-Series engine, but the diesel trim might get a new mill. There are also rumors of incorporation of mild hybrid technology on both models so as to push mileage above 30 kmpl. This technology will also be seen on the upcoming Maruti Ignis.
Apart from the existing 5-speed manual, a CVT unit might be provided as well.
2017 Maruti Swift Dzire Facelift- Launch date, Price and Production
The new Maruti Dzire will debut on later part of next year, with launch likely by late 2017/early 2018.
Expected price- Rs. 5.5 lakhs (Starting, ex-showroom, Delhi)
Both the Swift car will be manufactured at the company’s upcoming plant in Becharaji, Gujarat.
