More from EICMA 2016
Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer
The Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer is definitely the better looking of the two new bikes and is much removed from the original Scrambler brand. It gets coffee black and gold paint scheme, providing that classic Café feel.
Other changes include new seats, 17” front wheel, clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors and removable seat cowl at rear. Its seat height has been raised to 805mm.
Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled
Unlike its Uraban Enduro variant, the Desert Sled model brings some proper off-roading to the Scrambler brand. The bike has been completely upgraded to meet needs of the segment.
The new Scrambler Desert Sled gets reinforced tubular frame and redesigned swingarm to better channel the excessive stress as a result of off-road use. Obviously suspension travel has increased and fully adjustable KYB units are provided at front and rear.
All the changes have pushed the seat height to an impressive 860mm. Moto-cross styled handlebar and fatter foot pegs further improve the off-road ergonomics.
Powering both the bikes will continue to be the same 803 cc, L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, air cooled mill producing 75bhp of maximum power.
