After a number of unofficial pictures, Bajaj has finally revealed their 2017 range of Pulsars. All the bikes- Pulsar 220F, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 135LS, get minor cosmetic changes. Further, all except the Pulsar 150 has been updated to BS-IV compliance as well.
Courtesy of many Youtubers, we’ve already seen all the bikes in their entirety and even know their features. Interestingly, Bajaj is calling these bikes their new ‘Laser edged’ models, probably because of the decals. They receive new dual tone blue-white (as seen on the official website) and black-red shades.
The new Pulsar 220F (yes, ‘F’ is back) and the Pulsar 180 gets blue backlit on the instrument cluster while the 135 and 150 models continue with amber colour. The most affordable Pulsar 135LS gets larger share of the changes but unfortunately they are mostly cost cutting measures. These include single seats, single grab handle and new instrument cluster.
The Bajaj Pulsar 180 now gets rear disc brake as standard, which is great.
The new BS-IV compliant engines on the bikes do not produce any extra power or torque but is claimed to be more efficient and offer better power delivery. The Pulsar 150 still runs on a BS-III engine and we feel that this may be because Bajaj plans to replace it with the 150NS early next year.
