Bajaj has launched the Dominar 400 in Kerala at a dealership level function at Popular Bajaj, Vytilla on 17th December 2016. Booking for the bike has already begun and test drive will be available in a week’s time, after registration procedures are complete. It is available in 2 variants- ABS and non-ABS.
The Dominar 400 gets a great looking design fit with good number of features. Its LED headlamps look properly menacing in the dark (doing justice to the tagline ‘Dominate the night) and the new instrument cluster with secondary display provides a premium feel. We felt that the bike looked best from the rear, maybe because we are thinking of a different bike altogether.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.2cc DTS-i single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine that produces 34.5bhp at 8000rpm and 35Nm of torque at 8500rpm. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed transmission. Some of its features include slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, 43 mm telescopic front forks, adjustable monoshock rear suspension 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes.
The bike will only be available in 22 cities throughout India and out of these 6 are allotted for Kerala. This shows how aggressively the manufacturer is targeting Royal Enfield’s sales as Kerala is one of the top markets for ‘bullet’. Here is the list of available cities and respective prices in Kerala:
