Volkswagen T-ROC unveiled. Looks good
Volkswagen’s latest SUV- the T ROC will reach UK and Europe next year. It was first showcased as a concept at the 2014 Geneva Motorshow and was recently unvieled to the public. The car is based on the manufacturer’s MQB platform (which also underpins the Tiguan), and takes inspiration from both the Golf and Audi’s Q3. Apart from the T-ROC there is also a Polo based SUV that is expected to debut next year.
2018 Volkswagen T ROC- What to expect
Unlike the Audi Q2, the VW T-ROC looks like a proper SUV. It will be positioned below the Tiguan in markets where the latter is available. The T-Roc will begin to reach most European dealerships by November this year. Price is expected to start from around £20,000.
VW fans in USA would need to wait a bit more as the car is only expected to reach stateside in 2019. Its name might be changed as well.

2018 Volkswagen T ROC- Exterior and Interior
The T-ROC has undergone many changes from its 2014 concept. For starters, its front grille, bumper, foglamp housing and headlights are all different. The SUV gets a flat roof, wide wheel arches and strong shoulder line, and its rear is inspired from the Tiguan. Big 17″ alloy wheels, contrasting roof colour, red brake calipers, LED tail lights, chrome exhaust trim and rear diffuser enhance its appeal.

This makes the T-Roc bigger than the Audi Q3 in almost every aspect.
Interior looks good and gets features like 11.7-inch Active Info Display, glass-encased 8.0-inch Discovery Media infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, wireless charging and a 300W, 8-Channel Beats sound system.
2018 Volkswagen T ROC engine
Power for the VW T-Roc comes from six turbocharge engine options. These include 1.0 TSI (115 PS/200 Nm), 1.5 TSI (150 PS/250 Nm), 2.0 TSI (190 PS/320 Nm), 1.6 TDI (115 PS/250 Nm) and 2.0 TDI (150 PS/340 Nm, 190 PS/400 Nm) engines. Based on the variant, 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic transmission with or without AWD is avaialble.
2018 Volkswagen T ROC India
Volkswagen has plans to manuafacure MQB platfrm vehicles in India. if this is the case, then there is good chance that the T-Roc will launch in India. Prices will be competitive too.
