Chinese-spec Hyundai Verna 2017 – Interior, Exterior Design
Hyundai had previewed a concept of the 2017 Verna at Beijing motor show in April last year. Now recent pictures reveal that the upcoming car (to India) looks very much like its concept. However some features like headlamp clusters, bumpers, wheels and grille have been brought down to production spec.
The front fascia looks similar to Hyundai’s Elite i20 and the rear has improved a lot with sporty wraparound taillamps and integrated spoiler. Unlike Elantra, the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language has been retained.
Bigger wheelbase of 2,600mm (+30 from existing model) indicates more spacious interior and that seems to be the case. The car measures 4,380mm in length (+5), 1,728mm in width (+28) and 1,460mm in height.
China spec Verna gets an all-black interior, silver lining center console and AC vents, automatic climate control, 8 inch touchscreen AVN system, steering mounted controls and start/stop button. India-spec variant will share most features with Hyundai’s premium hatchback- Elite i20 and their newly launched Elantra.
- Large hexagonal grille
- New bumper
- Wraparound taillamps
- Integrated spoiler
