Maruti Celerio X (Cross) spotted
Maruti Suzuki is working on a more aggressive version of the Celerio. They will call it Celerio X (or cross), which seems to be the go to nomenclature for most pseudo-crossovers nowadays. The car will compete with Renault’s Kwid Climber on launch and will have an extensive variants list, similar to that of the standard model.
The Celerio X was recently spotted during a TVC shoot sporting a bright orange shade. This is the only shade we’ve seen but more might be available on launch.

Maruti Celerio X (Cross) design- Interior and exterior
Suzuki had already revealed a Celerio Cross at last year’s Geneva Motor Show. The car doesn’t change much from its standard version but as with all cross models, it has bulked up. Lot of this has to do with its new plastic cladding and distinctive rear bumper. The car’s front fascia has, however, evaded cameras till now but is expected to show up in the coming days.
In addition to the beautiful black alloy wheels and black roof rails, the new Celerio X seems to have gained some height as well. However, almost all of is mechanicals will be shared with the standard model.
The car’s interior will remain mostly similar to that of the Celerio. It will be available in V & Z trims, indicating that features like keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, power windows (front & rear), CD player with Bluetooth and steering mounted audio controls will be available. Safety features like ABS and dual-front airbags will also be present.
