Renault Captur vs Creta, Duster, XUV500 -Comparison
Renault has confirmed that they will launch the Captur in India this festive season. The car will be priced higher than the Duster and will compete with SUVs like the Creta and XUV500 in the country. The new Captur is differents from most cars in the segment as it is less SUV-ish. The Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Mahindra SUV500 all have rugged, very SUV-like design while the Captur doesn’t. This doesn’t mean it’s any less beautiful though, in fact, it is this uniquness that Renault will hightlight to their potential customers.
Though the Captur looks compact, it is bigger than the Duster and Creta at 4,333mm length. Being based on the Duster’s platform, they share similar wheelbase of 2674mm. The car is smaller than the XUV500.
The Captur’s interior will be well equipped and certainly better than the Duster.

This is lower than both the Creta and XUV500. The Hyundai Creta in both its petrol and diesel trims is capable of producing over 120 bhp of power. The Mahindra XUV500 doesn’t come with a petrol option but its mHawk diesel can deliver nearly 140 bhp of power, which is much above that of the Captur.
The Renault Captur will likely come with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. AWD is also expected.
