Mahindra KUV100 NXT facelift revealed
Mahindra KUV100 NXT facelift has been launched in India. The mini-SUV gets host of cosmetic and mechanical changes, and the manufacturer will be hoping to revive their prospects in the entry-level segment. The current model failed to keep the sales registers ringing for Mahindra.

Mahindra KUV100 NXT cosmetic changes
Mahindra has taken all steps to make the rugged-hatchback more SUV-like. Its front gets new bumper, faux skid plates and different headlight inserts, along with a more prominent grille. Sides have changed as well, and they now come with roof rails and 15” diamond cut alloy wheels on the top variants. The car’s rear is seen with new clear lens tail lamps with different inserts, redesigned bumper, tail-gate spoiler and faux skid plates. All its doors and tailgate have been made more aggressive after the refresh.

The facelift’s interior gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation the top K8 variant, which is a first for the car. It will be available in 6-seater guise as standard and the 5-seat model will only be made on need-basis. The latter has been removed from the variants list as well.
The top-spec K8 trims comes in an all-black interior scheme while all others adopt grey colour. Features like power folding wing mirrors, rear parking sensors, steering mounted controls, driver’s seat height adjust, a cooled glove box and mood lighting are provided. ABS, EBD, dual front airbags and more are availalbe in the safety department.

The KUV100 facelift retains its 82hp 1.2-litre petrol and 76hp 1.2-litre diesel engines but they have been tuned for better fuel efficiency. Also, Mahindra has improved NVH tolerance and ride quality by providing better strengthened engine mounts, different suspension set-up and increased ground clearance.
The engines continue to be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The updated KUV100 come in five variants- K2, K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8. The top-end model is priced at 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the diesel guise.
