2019 Honda Odyssey |Hybrid, AWD| coming late-spring
Honda came up with a redesign for their hugely popular mini-van- the Odyssey, earlier this year. The car’s changes, though not drastic, were enough to give it the much needed extra push in the segment. For the model year 2019, the car is expected to remain similar to the current model. There will not be any major change, and hybrid and AWD variants are unlikely for USA.
Honda showcased a JDM-spec Odyssey with hybrid powertrains and 4WD at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. When compared to the US-spec model, it is more aggressive and has a different front fascia. It’s not clear whether the manufacturer hopes to extend this design to other markets.

2019 Honda Odyssey design- Interior & Exterior
The 2019 Honda Odyssey won’t change much in terms of design. The current model isn’t shockingly different from the previous one either but it did get a reworked front facia, more aggressive sides and a swooping rear glass.
Inside, the new Honda Odyssey will continue to give preference to functionality. Cabin space and interior quality will be similar but software upgrades for the infotainment system can be expected.
Safety will not have any compromises either and the current model’s ‘IHS’ Top Safety Pick Plus’ will be retained.
2019 Honda Odyssey design powertrain & transmission
The 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque will be retained. Though the Odyssey comes with Hybrid and 4WD options in markets such as Japan, they won’t be made available in USA just yet. Transmission is a 10-speed automatic transmission.
