The new 2018 Yamaha FZS Fi looks dapper in blue. The model had received a ‘Dark Night’ colour scheme last year.

The FZ series is nearing its 10 year anniversary in India and this new model has been introduced to commemorate the occasion. Apart from the colour, the top-of-the-line FZ variant gets newly designed alloy wheel, different rear-view mirrors and a 220mm rear disc brake. Its decals are different as well and the fuel tank sports a shield-type FZ logo. The model doesn’t get ABS though.

Power for the bike comes from the same 149 cc single cylinder Fi mill. It is capable of producing 13.2 PS at 8,000 rpm, and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.

The 2018 Yamaha FZS Fi commands a premium of Rs. 3000 compared to the standard model.

KTM has also updated their flagship Duke 390 for 2018. The bike now comes in a gorgeous white colour, but that’s not all. They have also addressed certain thermal and software issues as well.

In order to keep heat away from the rider’s legs, the new Duke 390 comes with heat shield underneath its trellis frame (on the left side). They have also upgraded the cooling fans for better heat dissipation.

The Duke 390 has one of the most advance instrument consoles in its segment, so its software upgrades are mostly concerned with making the user experience hassle-free. For starters, mobile phone pairing will be faster and headlight functioning is smoother.

Specifications have been left untouched but the new updates do increase its price slightly (Rs. 2000 more).
