JUST IN : The First TVS-BMW Bike Will Be A 300cc One !

There is good news for all Motorcycle Enthusiasts , ACI has just confirmed that the First bike from the TVS-BMW Alliance will be a 300 cc single cylinder one . There is great expectation riding on the shoulders of this partnership , and keeping in mind its BMW we are talking about we expect nothing less than the best . It is also heard that the new Partnership will first  produce a TVS branded Bike , having  a jointly developed Engine . This Bike will then go on sale exclusively in India and other markets where TVS has a foothold on . Though not officially confirmed the Bike is expected to be Road Ready by Late 2015 .

TVS BMW New Bike To Be A 300CC

 

The joint venture between the company’s is expected to produces another 300cc bike made for the International market , This time under the BMW branding. Whether this bike will come to India is yet to be seen . Indian partnerships with foreign manufacturers is currently doing wonders for the Indian motorcycle Industry , whether it’s the Bajaj Pulsar 400SS and 400CS  ( BAJAJ-KTM partnership) or the Hero HX250r and the Hastur (  Hero-EBR partnership ) .  The foreign manufacturers also benefit from such joint ventures , usually increasing production by utilizing Indian Manufacturing Plants and hence increasing the sales.

We had earlier brought you a post on a 250cc bike from the TVS-BMW Partnership , which was later showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, under the name TVS Draken concept . However by this news we can confirm that the first bike that will go on Commercial Production will be a 300 cc  .  As the bike is locally produced it will be priced very aggressively and could compete with the Pulsar 400SS and the Hero HX 250r . The expected Price at Launch is about 2 Lakh Rupees .
