The Suzuki is planning to add a new member to their family of sub-200cc motorcycles, with the introduction of the Suzuki Gixxer 150. The bike is expected to be launched on the 10th of August and could be priced around 73,000 INR . The motorcycle was earlier showcased at the 2014 Delhi auto expo and had stirred up a lot of curiosity back then.
The 2014 Suzuki Gixxer 150 will have a 155cc single cylinder air-cooled engine , and will produce 14PS (13.9PS to be exact ) of horse power with a torque rating of 13.4 NM . The Gixxer comes with a five speed transmission, much like others in its segment .Since in the India, mileage is something we look forward to, Suzuki has come up with something they call the Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) ,which they claim will give the vehicle better fuelefficiency.
The styling of the Gixxer may be considered average and has similarities to its closest rivals ,The Yamaha FZ 150 and the Honda Trigger 150 . Suzuki has tried to give their new member a street and aggressive look and that seems to have worked to some extend . The front head light , the tail lamps and the exhaust pipes are some of the highlights worth mentioning .
Although the vehicle lacks some of the latest trends in the market like split seats, which Yamaha has added to their new FZ version 2.0. Overall the Suzuki Gixxer seems like a good package being priced at 70,000.
Summing things up, from first look the Suzuki Gixxer 15o seems quiet attractive for a prospective Indian customer , with a sleek and aggressive design and a good 155 cc engine .With a price tag of 73000Rs and the better fuel economy will only add to its advantage.
