After the high profile Launch of the M5 a few days ago , BMW has added 2 more M series cars to their stable. The BMW M3 and M4 are smaller siblings of the M5 Sedan and are priced at ₹1.19 and ₹1.21 crore respectively.The M4 is the latest addition to the M family and is in essence a Coupe version of the M3. Much like their prices , both theses cars remains mostly identical.The new M3 will be replacing its E90 based predecessor.

On the design front , Both the M3 and M4 resembles the 3-series sedan on the exterior. However there are strong visual cues, that sets these cars apart from the 3-series sedan.The Kidney Grilles up front doesn’t undergo any change , however The bumper has been revised with massive air intakes ,making it pretty clear what this car is all about.Adaptive headlamps with LED daytime running lights further enhances the overall sporty feel at the front. The side design remains minimalistic, with a strong end to end shoulder line and 18 inch alloys. Though the dimensions have increased , the amazing German manufacturing has managed to bring down the weight of the new M3 by a good 80kg’s. This has been achieved by utilizing lots of Aluminum and Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).
The BMW M series cars have always been a great blend of luxury and performance. With the new M3 and M4 , BMW hasn’t made any compromises either.Built up in carbon fiber -10 way adjustable M sport seats , multi function M-steering wheels and M-gear levers ,increases the overall sports quotient of the interiors.Other features that come as standard in this car include 3 stage front seat heating, Automatic climate control, start/stop button , updated Idrive system , Harman Kardon surround sound system, side and top view cameras and Anthracite leather upholstered sports seats.
Both The BMW M3 and M4 will be powered by a 3.0 liter in-line 6 cylinder engine producing 425 bhp of power and 550 Nm of torque.There is a slight increase in power from the previous V8 powered M3 model.A 7-Speed Dual clutch transmission has been provided in the cars. The fun factor has been further enhanced by providing Paddle Shifters and launch control.

- ABS with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC)
- Stability Clutch Control
- Active M differential Start-off Assistant,

- Ventilated disc brakes,with optional Brembo carbon ceramic brakes on offer
Both the M3 and M4 will be brought to India via the CBU route and will compete with the likes the Mercedes C63 AMG as well as the Audi RS5 in the segment.
