BMW group has already started importing the 2015 Mini Cooper’s to India , ahead of their official launch on 17th of next month. The new Mini cooper will be reaching India via the CBU route ,and as expected would be priced on the higher side.With these third generation Mini’s , which have been provided a new 3 cylinder petrol and diesel mill , BMW hopes to attract a lot more Indian customers.
The 2015 Mini cooper will come in 1.5 liter 3 cylinder petrol and diesel options , which is a first in the long history of the MINI.The petrol version will produce 134Hp of power while the diesel variant will produce close to 114Hp.The 2015 Mini cooper S will however retain the 4 cylinder 2.0 Liter engine which produces 189 bhp of power.All the models will get automatic transmission as standard , while paddle shifter have been provided for the Cooper S.
BMW hopes to make the Mini Cooper much more attractive to the general audience bringing in a new 5 door variant. With cars like the Mercedes A-class performing really good in the premium compact segment , we are sure to see more number of these beautiful cars on our roads in the coming months.The 3 door variant of the mini cooper is expected to be priced starting from Rs 28 Lakhs and the 5 door variant will be priced upwards of 32 Lakh INR .
