The Bajaj Pulsar 150AS has been spied testing yet again, this time in Pune. The bike which is essentially a smaller version of the Pulsar 200AS, comes with identical cosmetics and a smaller engine. This is the second adventure series motorcycle that Bajaj is developing for India.
Being based on the upcoming 200AS, the 150AS comes with similar projector headlamp unit, tall front screen,clip-on handlebars and rather small telescopic front forks. The projector headlamp looks good and the half fairing blends nicely on to the tank. Alloys are similar to most of the new-generation pulsars and the tire size is same as the Pulsar 150. New perimeter frame, as seen on the Pulsar 200 RS/NS and split seats are provided.
Mechanically, the all new Pulsar 150AS should come with a 150cc single cylinder triple spark carburated mill producing 17 ps of power and 13 Nm of torque. This engine comes paired to a five-speed manual transmission, just like the Pulsar 150. Suspension duties, unlike the latter is done by a monoshock setup at the rear. Petal disc at the front and archaic drum unit at the rear takes car of braking.
We can expect the launch of atleast one of the adventure series motorcycles to take place in the next two months, once the excitement surrounding the Pulsar RS200 comes down.
Stay tuned for more news and updates.
