The 2016 Bajaj Avenger 200 cruiser will be launched very soon and we’ve go news that the bike will be getting a new engine as well as improved cosmetics. The bike has been in the pipeline for quite sometime now and is frankly long overdue.
The new Avenger 200 will be getting the same 200cc engine as seen on the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and NS200. This mill is capable of churning out 23.5bhp at 9500rpm and maximum torque of 18.3Nm at 8000rpm, and is not just more powerful but also more refined than the previous bike, enhancing its cruising prowess. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission with revised gear ratios. Liquid cooling and better brakes will also be provided.
The 2016 Bajaj Avenger 200 will look similar to the outgoing bike but will be getting newer sticker and paint job, redesigned body panels, new headlamp and a digital instrument cluster.
Bajaj is expected to launch the new Avenger late in to 2015 and prices should be near to the 85,000/- INR range (ex-showroom, Delhi).
