New Hero Achiever launched
The 2017 Hero Achiever comes with some refreshing changes and improved features. It is available in 2 variants- with & without front disc brake, priced at Rs. 61,800/- and Rs. 62,800/- respectively.
The new design will help to improve its prospects in the competitive segment which also contain bikes like Bajaj V15 and Honda CB Unicorn 150. The bike is available in 3 colours- Fiery Red, Noble Black & Valor Grey. A special ’70 million customers’ edition is also made available but only in a very limited number of 70.
Powering the bike is an updated BS-IV compliant 150cc engine producing 13.4bhp and 12.8Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Hero’s i3S technology (idle start-stop) is implemented on the bike, much like their new Splendor 110. Other features include maintenance free battery, side stand indicator, viscous air filter, tubeless tyres and more.
Hero’s New Flagship
Hero will launch a new flagship ‘global motorcycle’ in January 2017, a period which also marks their entry in to Dakar. There are three motorcycles that Hero could choose including the HX250, XF3R and Xtreme 200S.
The Hero HX250 seems the likely choice as its launch is long overdue and unlike the XF3R is out of the concept stage.
