2017 will see most of KTM’s motorcycles getting design changes, right from the smallest 125cc to biggest Supers. Some new addition will also be part of the line-up.
Most of the bikes have already been spotted and is likely to debut at Intermot show in early October.
All of KTM’s Adventure motorcycles will get a fresh face, as is seen on the new spy pictures.
Here are more details of their 1190 range:
2017 KTM 1190 Adventure
Biggest change on the new model, as with many in 2017 line-up, is the new LED headlight cluster. The bike is provided with two vertical headlights, split in the middle. These might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but like the RC twins they do makes very unique impact. The matured design also brings it closer to the segment topping BMW R1200GS.
Other changes on the 2017 KTM 1190 Adventure include new WP forks, new adjustable windscreen and larger air intakes on the new side panels. Except for these, it seems to have borrowed everything else from the outgoing model.
While the same 147bhp twin cylinder mill will continue on the new model, it will obviously be tweaked to be within the Euro-4 emission limits.
2017 KTM 1190 Adventure R
The same ‘nose treatment’ has been done on the Adventure R model as well but anything extensive is not seen. The windscreen is small and new upper fairing and air intakes are provided. Another interesting bit is the new orange coloured LED DRLs surrounding the headlights.
Mechanically newly designed brake calipers and new ‘higher spec’ WP forks are provided.
