Jaguar XF 2016 Design: While typical ‘Jaguar’ness is maintained there are some noticeable changes on the new model. The front gets adaptive headlamps with Jaguar’s signature ‘J Blade’ LED daytime running lights. Its grille and bumper are restyled and the lower air intakes are much sleeker.
At the rear, F-Type inspired LED taillights improve the car’s premium nature.
The new Jaguar XF’s lightweight aluminium body has shaved almost 190 kg over its predecessor. It is 7mm shorter and 3mm lower than the old car but increased wheelbase (by 51mm) means that the car is now even more passengers friendly. Legroom, Knee room and headroom have increased by 15mm, 24mm and 27mm respectively. Jaguar says that optimal weight distribution of 50:50 is achieved on this new car.
On the inside, an 8 inch (10.2 inch on top portfolio model) InControl touchscreen infotainment system is provided, with 11 or 17 speakers. 10 colour ambient lighting, 12.3-inch fully TFT instrument cluster, All Surface Progress Control driving technology and an app based car-control function are also part of the package.
Jaguar XF 2016 Engine & Transmission: Powering the car is a 2.0 l 4-cylinder ‘Ingenium’ Turbocharged Diesel engine that produces 179.5PS and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that offers 240.65PS of power. Both the engines are claimed to have better fuel efficiency.
Transmission duties are done by an 8-speed automatic unit.
