New Toyota Etios- What’s changed?
Exterior
Most changes of the new Etios and Etios Liva are concentrated on the exterior, more significantly at the front. As you can see, the front fascia is thoroughly restyled and is more aggressive. Its grille sport a new design with chrome lining (in Etios only) and the bumper is heavily detailed with large secondary airdam. The foglamps are placed in a butch compartment with chrome surrounds.
Sides get no change while the rear is provided with restyled bumper and chrome strip on the boot (only on Etios). Newly designed 15” alloy wheels can be seen.
Most of India’s premium hatchbacks will be updated within the next year. Also some very interesting cars are on their way.
Interior
While the interior looks similar to the outgoing model, certain features like the new instrument console should be pointed out. It is still center mounted but has improved with a more premium design. However it is still way behind the all-digital one on the Brazilian model.
The car will be provided with a dual tone black-beige interior, chrome surrounds on air-con vents, new multifunction steering wheel and possibly a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation on top trims.
Engine
No changes to the engine will be present. A 1.5-liter petrol, 1.2 Liter petrol and 1.4-liter diesel will continue to do duty under the hood. 5-speed manual is the sole transmission option.
