The upcoming 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 1800 has been revealed in its entirety in a new YouTube video. The bike doesn’t change much cosmetically but is expected to get a new (&powerful) BS-IV compliant engine.
We are a bit disappointed by the lack of any major changes in terms of design, as is the case with the 2017 Pulsar 220F which we brought to you earlier. Mere sticker additions don’t conceal the fact that the bike hasn’t had a proper update since 2006.
The new 180 however get blue backlit instrument console, matte finish on the clip-on handlebars and softer seat cushion, apart from the new dual tone colour. All these features seem to be common update for the 2017 line-up (220,180, 150).
The addition of rear disc brake is a welcome change but everything else is unchanged including its suspension.
The 178.6cc engine is now BS-IV complaint and will hopefully get a bump up in power as well as efficiency. The current generation bike produces 16.8 Bhp @ 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 14.22 Nm @ 6500 rpm.
