BMW G310GS Debuts at EICMA 2016 [Video Review]
As expected, BMW has unveiled their smallest ADV- G310GS at the ongoing EICMA 2016. It is based on their G310R naked bike, which was also present at the event. Both the bikes will be produced in India, in association with TVS motor company.
As the smallest member of a very popular adventure ‘GS’ line-up, expectations are really high. They have got the design part right and is an obvious node to the R1200GS. Only a proper test drive can reveal details on its ride quality and off-road prowess.
Some noticeable changes from the ‘R’ model include longer windscreen, new side fairing, the signature ‘GS’ beak, upswept exhaust and addition of optional rear luggage carrier. The G310GS also gets features like top box, centre stand, LED indicators, heated grips, tank bag and GPS navigation.
New BMW G310GS gets longer travel suspension (180mm at front and rear), which is also the most prominent mechanical change on the bike. Braking continues to be done by 300mm and 240mm, front and rear disc brake respectively. New EU regulations mean that ABS is provided as standard.
