In a first for the series, the Ford F-150 will receive a diesel powertrain in the model year 2018. The F-series trucks are currently the most selling four wheelers in USA, out pacing the Toyota Camry (most selling in passenger segment) by twice the sales.
The huge demand for trucks has pushed manufacturers to lessen their update period, and bring more features and fresher engine options. The addition of diesel can be seen as one such update, the good reception for Ram’s 1500 EcoDiesel was what fueled its prospects.

Its new headlamps cover the redesigned grille at the sides, and its sport variant receives body colored grille bars.
The F-150’s profile remain mostly unchanged, save for the newly designed wheels (17-22 inches), but the rear gets new tail lamps, and horizontal appliqué on some variants.
Interior and safety
