It seems that the Demon’s 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R tires are too much for Dodge’s Brampton Assembly Plant in Canada. Instead, temporary wheels are fitted on the finished car (as seen here) and then transported to a facility in Redford Township, Michigan where the original spec tires will be bolted on. These tires also hold the distinction of being the widest ever on a stock production car.
This is not the only record that the SRT Demon holds. Read our full report of the car – Dodge Challenger SRT
Dodge has 3300 Demon’s planned for production, out of which 3000 units will come to the USA. The car seen here looks like it is riding on the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat‘s 20-inch forged aluminium wheels, possibly shod with 275/40ZR20 tires.
