Since the cross version had features different from that of the current model, a facelift was expected. The Celerio has sold more than 3 lakhs units since launch and the new facelift along with its X version should improve the current numbers.
|Price in India||Rs. 4.15 lakhs (ex-showrrom, Delhi)|
|Launch date||October 2017|
|Engine||998 cc K10 petrol|
The Celerio facelift looks similar to the Celerio X but the body cladding, faux skid plates and black alloy wheels had to go. Its front fascia gains a different look gets a restyled mesh grille with chrome lining, hexagonal lower grille and new bumper sporting different foglamp housing. There are slight changes to its rear as well, more prominantly on the bumper. The alloy wheels looks similar to the one on the outgoing model.
The car’s interior gains a new black-beige colour scheme and new upholstery. Driver’s side airbag is standard while passenger side one and ABS are provided as optional across trims.
Power for the Maruti Celerio facelift comes from the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit producing 50 kW (67.02 hp) and 90 Nm of torque. Its CNG-compliant variant can produce 59 kW (79.09 hp) and 78 Nm of torque in CNG mode. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and AMT.
