The Skoda Kodiaq has been launched in India for a price starting from Rs. 3,449,501/- (Ex-showroom). The 7-seater SUV will be assembled at company’s Aurangabad manufacturing facility. With this launch, the Czech manufacturer’s portfolio has been increased to four, existing cars being Superb, Octavia and Rapid.

The Kodiaq takes inspiration from Skoda’s all-new design language and is a great looking car. It gets a prominent front fascia with beautiful split headlamps and LED lighting. Sides can be seen with large 18” in alloy wheel and the rear is as good-looking as the front. The SUV’s upright stance and good road presence are sure to go in the good books of many potential buyers.
On the inside, the Kodiaq follows a dual-tone colour scheme and its dashboard and center console are finished in black. Features like large touchscreen infotainment system with apple carplay and android auto, panaromic sunroof, hands-free parking assist and more are provided. There’s enough leg and headroom inside as well and the car even comes with an optional ‘Sleep’ package.

Power for the Kodiaq comes from the VW group’s staple 2.0-liter mill producing 148 bhp and 340 Nm. It is mated only to a 7-speed DSG gearbox, sending power to all four wheels.
Skoda Kodiaq India- price, variants, competition
The Kodiaq is only available in one, top-spec model in India. Skoda might just be testing the waters right now and if things go right, they could launch lower variants next year.
The Skoda Kodiaq will compete with cars such as the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Volkswagen Tiguan in India.
Price starts are 34.49 lakhs
