The new Suzuki Intruder 150 cruiser has been launched in India for a price starting from Rs. 98,340/- (Ex-showroom, Delhi). It is based on the Gixxer’s platform and even shares its engine. However, they are very different in terms of design.
|Launch date||Nov 7, 2017|
The Intruder 150, as its name suggests, adopts its design from bigger Intruder. Suzuki will be hoping to take advantage of the lesser competition as well as the bike’s superior brand name to pull in sales. Bajaj’s Avenger will be its primary competitor while another popular model- Royal Enfield Bullet 350, is priced at Rs.15,000/- above it.
Suzuki Intruder 150 vs competition
The Suzuki Intruder 150 gets a large single headlamp at front, similar to the one on the current Intruder 1800. This, being the face of the Intruder (/Boulevard) family for many a years, is hard to miss the similarities. On it sides; Suzuki has tried to conceal the Gixxer’s underpinnings as much as possible. Its digital instrument console is probably the biggest giveaways though.
The bike looks good and large twin-exhaust and LED tail lamps help to improve the premium quotient.
It is available in two colours:
- Metallic Oort Grey/Metallic Matte Black
- Glass Sparkle Black/Matte Titanium Silver
|Ground clearance||170 mm|
