How do you make a perfect car more perfect? More Powaaa! And that’s exactly what BMW has done for their all new 2018 M5. The latest iteration of the performance sedan now produces close to 600bhp which is 25 bhp more than the current car. It made official debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor show.
|M5 first edition price||€137,400|
|Release date in USA||Spring 2018|
2018 BMW M5- design changes
If more power is not enough, BMW has also shed 200 pounds (90 kilograms) from the new M5, thanks partially to the polymers reinforced with carbon fiber (PRFC) elements in the roof and throughout the bodywork. The car now weighs 4,089 pounds (1,855 kilograms).
The 2018 BMW M5 gets subtle changes in the form of more aggressive front and rear diffuser, LED taillights, and new 19-inch standard wheels (optional 20-inch) wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Carbon ceramic brakes can be opted for no extra cost. Its new ‘Marina Bay Blue’ colour is named after the beautiful Formula 1 race track in Singapore and looks stunning.
There is also a limited ‘First Edition’ BMW M5 that comes in our new favourite ‘steely Frozen Dark Red’ colour along with couple of extra features. The colour alone could justify its extra $23,000 but exclusivity will be its biggest selling point. Only 400 units of the variant will be made available.
