The all-new Hyundai Creta 2018 has been launched in India! Here’s complete details and variant analysis of the car:
2018 Hyundai Creta facelift Exterior
Two iterations of the Hyundai Creta are available in global markets. The Brazilian-spec model which was released first, gets a more aggressive front fascia consisting of new headlights, new foglamp housing and restyled bumper. Its taillights are different as well.
Recently Hyundai had also revealed a Chinese-spec Creta which was different from the one seen in Brazil. When compared to the Brazilian spec model, this ix25 (Creta) had a more angular grille, different bumper (but similar to the one on the current model), and subtly deferent headlights and taillights.
The Hyundai Creta which is coming to India obviously has different hexagonal grille and is unlike those on the above mentioned markets. Its front bumper and foglight housing are different as well.
Spy pictures show the new Creta sporting the current generation’s steel wheels and wheel caps, but this is likely to change entering production. Also, new set of alloy wheels will be provided.
2018 Hyundai Creta facelift Interior
Subtle changes are provided on the inside. These include different upholstery, new dashboard trims, different display backlit and an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system. Like the Brazilian model, Android Auto and Apple Car play compatibility will be provided.
2018 Hyundai Creta facelift Engine and transmission
The current crop of engines are likely to continue. There are talks of mild-hybrid technology being implemented but that’s unlikely, atleast, in this generation.
Engine options include 123 PS 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol, 90 PS 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre U2 VGT CRDi diesel. These engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard but a 6-speed automatic is provided on some variants.
2018 Hyundai Creta facelift price and launch in India
The new Creta will be present at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi and should be launched in India by mid-2018. The car is expected to be priced between Rs. 9.35 – 15.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
