In terms of design, the bike isn’t as flashy as some of the others we’ve mentioned. Kawasaki has opted for a small single headlamp set-up instead of twin. It does have the typical ‘adventure’ silhouette taken care of though. Also, the top variant comes with extra carriages and protectors, that provide more bulk to the bike and makes it look much better.
The new Versys gets long windshield, long travel front (41mm telescopic) and rear (gas charged monoshock) suspension, single seat, digital-analogue instrument cluster, wide straight handlebar and upright seating position. Its exhaust is an upswept unit and wheels are spoked. Good number of luggage carriers and holders are also fitted in.
Power for the Kawasaki Versys X300 comes from an EURO-IV complaint, 296cc water cooled twin cylinder engine. It produces 40 PS at 11,500 rpm, and 25.7 Nm at 10,000 rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission and tuned for better low and mid-range power. Features like ABS, Slipper clutch and ECO mode will form part of the equipment list.
