Rolls Royce on today has revealed the eighth iteration of the Phantom, their most popular car. The Phantom VIII, like all which preceded it, redefines what luxury in four wheels means and begs to ask the question- Bentley who?
In the detailed press release we got, Roll-Royce has gone to great lengths to describe each and every corner of the car. They have used terms like Embrace and Gallery, which in laymen’s terms just means ‘to close the door’ or ‘dashboard’, but they do seem infinitely better suited.
|Price in UK||£444,000|
|Engine options||Twin-Turbo V12|
The Phantom VIII is powered by 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 rated at 563 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, mated to a ZF eight-speed transmission. Rolls Royce seems to have provided enough insulation on the car to shut out a whale, and thus making one of the most silent cars available today.
Price & release date: The current generation Phantom’s price starts at $420,000, so something above this can be expected. The car could be officially launched at the 2017 Frankfurt Motorshow later this year but no confirmation is available yet.
