The 2019 Honda Pilot has been spied testing with camouflage. The popular SUV got a thorough refresh in 2017 but now, after two years, it’s going to get a facelift.
The spied test mule was aggressively covered at the front, indicating an updated front fascia. Many reports claim that there will be styling cues taken from the new Accord.

2019 Honda Pilot- ‘almost’ similar to the 2018
Obviously, this is a mild refresh and there won’t be many changes differentiating it from the 2018 model. At the very least though, its grille and headlamps will be updated. Sides remain similar to the outgoing model but the rear has camouflage on its taillights, indicating subtle changes in the vicinity.
Interior wont change much either and the SUV will continue with its eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Other features like push button ignition, multi-angle review camera, heated steering wheel, heated-cooled front seats, ceiling-mounted DVD screen and more will be provided.
Mechanically, the 3.5-liter V-6 producing 280 hp and 262 pound-feet of torque will continue. Base variant come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission while top-end models get a 9-speed unit. All Wheel Drive is standard on the top-of-the-line ‘Elite’ trim but is optional in all others.
Thankfully, Honda will also provide a hybrid option for the Pilot this time around. It powertrain will be lifted from the Honda Accord.
2019 Honda Pilot- Price and release date
The new Honda Pilot will come out later this year with prices not much different from the current model. However, if you want something in the lower price points, Honda is also heard to be working a new Passport.
