Nissan has unveiled an open air version of their popular Nissan Leaf to celebrate it reaching 100,000 sales in Japan. The all-electric hatchback was introduced in the country in 2010.
Nissan has a way of unveiling good-looking concepts based on the Leaf but never actually bringing them to production. The Leaf GT and a Leaf Nismo upgrade are some of the examples. Compared to them, the Leaf ‘Open Air’ is neither good looking nor shows any kind of promise, even for Japan.
Though Nissan has not revealed anything more, the Leaf Open Air should essentially be a standard Leaf without the roof. Specifications doesn’t seem to have changed much either.
