The Honda Cub is one of the first models that the Japanese manufacturer sold in USA. It was last seen in the country in 1974 and after an excruciatingly long time, the nametag is finally back as the Super Cub C125 ABS 2019.
Styling: Honda has kept the spirit of the old cub intact and the new model, with its retro styling, is reminiscent of the original one. The Super Cub 2019 comes with a step-through chassis and full coverage bodywork, designed to keep wind and dirt away from the rider as much as possible. There’s no room for passengers here and the chain, like most motorcycles of the past, is covered (a very useful feature).
While it may look like the old Cub, it is certainly not, as far as features are concerned. There’s LED lighting all through out, and multifunction instrument console and electric seat opener put it a notch above some of the recently introduced models. The Super cub comes with an advanced Smart-key as well, which is something we’d expect out of bikes like the Honda Goldwing.

Honda Super Cub 2019 specs
The new cub comes with a 125cc single engine, same as the one seen on the Grom. It comes mated to a four speed semi-automatic transmission which allows shifting with the left foot without any clutch being involved.
The scooter gets telescopic forks at front and twin shock absorbers at rear. Its 17” cast alloy wheels are shod in tubeless tires, and gets stopping power from 220mm front and rear disc brakes. Single channel ABS is provided as standard.
Price and release date
For its compact, everyday demeanor, the Super Cub is not exactly cheap. However, it doesn’t have any real competitors and scooters are not especially popular in North America. So the Super Cub will only be available in limited numbers, promising exclusivity. Further, the Cub is perfect for your casual outings within city limits, negating the hassle of taking your car or higher powered motorcycle out. This should entice atleast some prospects.
US release is expected by October
