Dodge Challenger 2019 V6 base models
At the bottom of the 2019 Challenger range is the SXT which is available as both RWD and AWD. Above it is the Challenger GT whose price starts at $29.995. It comes powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 delivering 305 hp.
Gas Guzzler Tax (GGT) is not levied on either of the models.
Dodge Challenger 2019 V8
The most affordable V8 model is the Challenger R/T with its 5.7-liter Hemi producing close to 372 horsepower. It offers respectable mileage and no added GGT.
If you want a more aggressive R/T, there’s the R/T Scat Pack with a 485 hp hemi V8 under its hood. This model is available with both automatic and manual transmission options, the latter demanding an additional 1000$ in GGT.
The familiar Challenger SRT Hellcat now produces 10 bhp more than the 2018 model, at 717 hp. Torque is a modest 656 lb-ft.
Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye
The model that everyone’s been talking about! The Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye is the new top dog of the line-up and gets a ‘Demon’ of an engine- a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, producing 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet.
Price starts at $69,650 but there’s additional $1,770 that you will have to pay as Gas Guzzler.
