2019 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT – What’s new?
The SuperDuke GT is perhaps the quirkiest in KTM’s 1290 range. The current model has only been around for two years or so, but with the flagship shifting to an all new design language- an upgrade was all but inevitable. Now the GT is finally here but to a largely mixed reception.

2019 KTM 1290- Bugged-out design
The Super Duke GT is based on its refreshed naked version. and obviously shares the new split LED headlamps. People have always had mixed feelings about the GT’s front fascia and this time around, it might be even more polarizing. The fuel tank is heavily chiselled and its hand guard adopts a new aerodynamic shape. Infact, the entire bike is claimed to be more drag resistant.
Softer saddle and sport saddle bags comes as standard. The 6.5 inch instrument console gets KTM My Ride functionality, with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
Powering the new version is the same 1,301cc, 75-degree V-twin engine. It is however updated with lighter titanium valves and intake resonator chambers returning more power in the process, although exact numbers have not been revealed yet.
The 2019 KTM Super Duke GT gets cruise control and smarter adjustable, semi-active suspension with real-time adaptive damping rates. It also gets Quickshifter+ system and three ride modes.
The new GT is expected to roll out in US early next year! Further news and information on KTM models for 2019 will be announced on November 6 at EICMA, Milan, Italy
