It’s been a few years since BMW announced their intend to make a 7-seater SUV and now, coming out of their factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina is the 2019 BMW X7. Prices starts at $73,900 and the SUV will start to reach owners by first quarter of 2019.

Aggressive, luxurious and spacious
Compared to other BMW SUVs, the X7 is more aggressive and has imposing design features. Its grille is large which seems even more so because of the sleek LED headlights. Sides and rear are familiar, and claim to employ ergonomic design for ingress and egress.
Inside, we are treated to a luxurious and spacious cabin fit with a duo of 12.3-inch displays, four-zone climate control (five-zone optional), button-laden centre console and three-panel panaromic sunroof. Customers have the choice of selecting captain-chairs for middle row, which come with all the goodies available for the front seats.
Driver assistance and cargo space
Cargo space has been provided convenience features like two section tailgate, electric open-close and rear-lowering for easier access. With all three rows intact, there’s 48.6 cubic feet (1,376 liters) for cargo which can be expanded up to 90.4 cubic feet (2,560 liters) if needed.

2019 BMW X7 Variants, Engine and Specs
For US market, the X7 comes in two engine variants- X7 xDrive40i and X7 xDrive50i. The former get a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six producing 335 horsepower (250 kilowatts) and 330 pound-feet (447 Newton-meters). The exclusive 50i gets twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 456 hp (340 kW) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm). Both does 60mph in under 6 seconds, the V8 hitting it in 5.2 seconds.
The Engines are mated to a 8-speed automatic cox, sending power to all four wheels. The 50i variant gets locking rear differential, and optional Dynamic Handling Package and Off-Road Package
