2019 Yamaha R3- Early Report
Design: Starting 2019, Yamaha wants all their YZF-R motorcycles to be placed under a common design banner. This is especially true from their sub-500cc ones, all three (R125, R15 and R3) looking near identical- a stark contrast from the previous generation of these bikes.
2019 Yamaha R125 revealed
Similar to the bikes above, the new R3 gets an updated front fascia with air intake nestled between two sleek LED headlights. It allows more air to reach the radiators for better cooling. The whole front half of the bike is sharper, courtesy of a chiselled new fuel tank (14 liters) and different side fairing. The remaining half though, sees little to no changes. Overall, Yamaha claims a reduction in aerodynamic drag (CdA) by 7 percent- adding 7mph to the top speed.
In front of the rider, an all-digital replaces the partially analogue one.
Colours:
- Classy Blue and Black
- Menacing Black and White
Specs: The 2019 Yamaha YZF-R3 adheres to the Euro V emission norms which are stated to kicks in at 2020 – making the bike more efficient and clean. While the chassis remain same, the front suspension is an all new inverted 37mm KYB fork with upgraded triple clamp- for better maneuverability. The rear suspension is unchanged and so is its dual-channel ABS setup.
Release date: The new Yamaha R3 will begin to reach customers by December 2018.
2019 Yamaha R3- Power and Torque?
Yamaha didn’t mention power or torque anywhere but stated that the new Aero brings improved top speed. This is more than enough reason to believe that no real increment has been made in these aspects. So the 41 bhp power and 29.6 Nm torque will continue even with competition from the ever-powerful Kawasaki Ninja 400 and the upcoming BMW G310RR sportsbike.
