Harley Davidson has finally revealed their LiveWire Electric motorcycle. They have been teasing it for the past few years and while the reveal happened at a non-Auto event (CES 2019- with less moto journalists for proper scrutiny), we are just glad that all the hush-hush is behind us.
The Livewire will reach US shores in Fall next year and is strictly for people with fat pockets- priced $29,799. With Harley far out of their comfort zone and at a time when they are not doing so well, I expected, or rather wanted, the motorcycle to be placed in a middleweight-liter slot so that more people (including myself) to just embrace this new idea. They could have gotten a loyal customer-base going too, that is, before the electric motorcycle market explodes next decade.
So this pricing, for me, is a huge let down.
